I recently retired after 46 years with the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library, as Head of Technical Services since 2000. I was previously Branch Manager at the Lake Hiawatha Branch and Head of Reference at the main library. I worked closely with circulation and Information Services. I chaired the Main Library Alliance Technical Services Committee for 10 years and actively participated since I stepped down. I participate in the Innovative Idea Lab and have suggested several software changes that have been added to Polaris.
I have used Baker & Taylor’s online ordering system, Title Source, since they began web-based ordering in 2000. We were one of the original libraries to link new books when they were ordered. I spearheaded the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library’s initiative to get shelf-ready materials through B&T and could help libraries make that transition.
